Webinar: Introducing EU Innovation Fund

Energy Cluster Denmark and 1st Mile hereby invite you to a webinar on the EU Innovation Fund, the EUs flagship funding program for the deployment of first-of-a-kind, highly innovative net-zero projects.

At the webinar Søren Houmøller, CEO, 1st Mile and his colleagues will inform you about the programs' focus areas, which information you need to present in an application, and how the process works. The main goal of the webinar is to give potential applicants the information needed to decide if the Innovation Fund is a program that is relevant for them to apply for.

After a EU tender process 1st Mile was in October 2025 chosen by the Danish Energy Agency to validate potential projects to give applicants a solid basis to decide to seek funding from the Innovation Fund or not. The Danish Energy Agency pays for the validations and projects that are validated as good fits are eligible for a 500,000 DKK grant from the Danish Energy Agency to write the application.

In contrast to funding programs such as the EUDP, Grand Solutions, and the EIC Accelerator, the EU Innovation Fund supports the capital expenditure for deployment of new technologies. A Small-Scale project is less than €20m investment, Medium-Scale is €20-80m, and Large-Scale is more than €100m.

After the introduction to the fund, Anders Køhler, CEO, Floating Power Plant will share his experience with the fund.

Finally, the participants will be able to ask questions in the Q&A.
