About the project

Challenge

One of the largest OPEX drivers is O&M costs, including rope access drills. Rope access drills are costly, and every second saved in the operational environment will reduce both safety risks and costs.

Solution idea

Using a drone with a thermal camera, a company like Esvagt can send usable inspection data to operators regarding gas leaks, as an example. Consequently, efforts can be focused on repairing the issues identified.

Project deliverables

A system for detecting gas leaks and corrosion in hard-to-reach places on offshore installations.
