About the project

The innovation project eRadarSensor has both created growth in new markets for companies and reduced CO2 emissions for customers.

Challenge

The challenge is to optimize the logistics and reduce energy consumption around waste collection. Waste collection is thus intended to be based on knowledge of content quantities at the container level. Waste collection is intended to be automated over time, this requires data between the waste sensor and a route planning tool in relation to planning optimal routes and collection vessels.

Solution

The solution consists of having a universally applicable radar sensor solution fully developed and operationally tested for dictating different materials and liquids in containers of different types and sizes. Data from the radar sensor solution must be used/implemented in an associated route planning function, so that the logistics for the operational fleet are optimized for waste collection.

Result

The project must deliver a fully developed and operationally tested universally applicable radar sensor solution for dictating different materials and liquids in containers of different types and sizes. Data from the radar sensor solution will be used/implemented in an associated route planning function to optimize the logistics of the operational fleet in relation to waste collection.

The project is funded by Energy Cluster Denmark's Industrial Electronics Innovation (IEI) support program, which offers a 3-year support program where small and medium-sized enterprises can jointly develop electronic innovative products with a focus on energy optimization. The IEI project is supported by the Regional Fund.

“The project has been very important to us and has developed the company significantly. We are having a hard time putting our hands down.”
