About the project

Challenge

The focus is on developing current sensing equipment developed by NLIR and proving that it works on oil in water. This will lead to the development of a new offshore sensing tool. Implementation: An improvement in the measurement of oil in water and the realisation of its real-time registration will lead to an environmental improvement in the quality of water discharged into the sea.

Solution idea

The project therefore aims to develop a new method for the real-time registration of oil in water for production water. This is currently extracted and tested manually, and the water produced is discharged to the sea.

The project was financed by the Ministry of Education and Research.
