Sustainable P2X Business Model

Challenge

Power-to-X (P2X) technologies are key for the green energy transition. To support their large-scale development, it is essential to develop look-ahead business models before deciding whether to invest in P2X technologies, and if so, how to optimally size the P2X components (electrolyzers, hydrogen tanks, etc.). This is a very challenging decision-making task because such a business model needs to be aware of all potential revenue streams, uncertainties, and risks.

Solution

This project will investigate sustainable business models for P2X. Probabilistic forecasts for wind power production and electricity prices will be developed to support informed uncertainty-aware decisions before construction.

Effect

Danish actors will gather the necessary expertise to be at the forefront of the innovation in P2X technologies.
