Unwanted Water

The purpose of the project is to design and develop an advanced analysis module that has a significant news value and is targeted (in the first instance) at the current challenges of the wastewater companies. It addresses, among other factors, the large capacity loads of pipelines, pressure for new investments and high energy consumption.

Challenge

The wastewater companies have major challenges with precipitation and groundwater that penetrate the wastewater systems and cause unnecessary energy consumption and investment. Due to more frequent extreme rains, the challenges of managing water in the wastewater systems only seem to be greater for the wastewater companies.

Solution idea

An advanced analysis module that has significant news value and is targeted (initially) at the current challenges of the wastewater companies. It addresses, among other factors, the large capacity loads of pipelines, pressure for new investments and high energy consumption.

Project deliverables

Development and design of an advanced analysis module for automatic real-time analysis of companies’ volumes and irrelevant water addressed to the wastewater companies with large capacity loads of the pipeline network.

Problem solvers

This project is financed by Energy Cluster Denmark’s Promoting Innovation in Green Energy Technology (FIE, from the Danish initials) support programme. It offers three years of support to allow small- and medium-sized businesses to collaboratively develop innovative electronic products focused on energy optimisation. The FIE project is supported by the European Regional Development Fund.
