The overarching goal of the WISE Offshore project is to enhance the key competencies required in the Offshore Wind Industry (OWI).

Project Description

The wind sector is constantly evolving, and so are the competency requirements for those driving wind energy forward. WISE Offshore aims to elevate competency levels in areas such as commercialization, leadership, innovation, creativity, globalization, and sustainability.

The project addresses the needs of the wind industry by developing and implementing a learning development-oriented curriculum that better meets the educational requirements of OWI professionals and students.

Impact

As a result of the project, the wind sector’s exclusive academic leadership program, the Offshore Wind Energy MBA, has achieved international accreditation.

The Offshore Wind Energy MBA is tailored to address the sector’s specific challenges and needs, offering academic-level insights and knowledge. The program is built on innovative teaching methods, with instruction delivered by experts from both academia and the offshore wind industry. This ensures participants can apply the latest scientific findings in a highly practical manner.

The MBA not only upskills individual employees but also represents a crucial step in securing and strengthening the North Sea region’s leadership position in wind energy.
