Apply for innovation funds: Millions for CO2 management and brown biorefining

Companies, researchers and other energy experts in North or South Jutland can now apply for funding for the capture, use and storage of CO2 or brown biorefining such as pyrolysis. The money comes from the Just Transition Fund and Energy Cluster Denmark is ready to help anyone who wants to join. The deadline is November 11, 2024.

Should your company or research expertise be put into play in an innovation project that can create sustainable solutions for the energy system of the future? A good, current opportunity is two new pools under the Just Transition Fund, which are open to applicants until November 11th at 12 noon.

Energy Cluster Denmark is ready to help everyone with skills within the themes of the two pools, which are brown biorefining such as pyrolysis and handling of CO2 – so-called CCUS. This is explained by Glenda Napier, CEO of Energy Cluster Denmark.

“Denmark has a political goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2045 – and the members of the energy cluster can help to achieve that goal. We already have several large projects in our portfolio within the CO2 and pyrolysis value chain that are expected to make a positive difference to growth, jobs and the climate,” says Glenda Napier and continues:

“Now we are ready to apply for more funding for innovative projects together with our members – and here the two open pools under the Just Transition Fund are an obvious opportunity to create even more value. The message is short and sweet: Contact us if you have an idea or a desire to take an active part in an innovation project. Then we are ready to help,” says Glenda Napier.
