About the project

Challenge

In Denmark, the manufacturing and process industries account for about 20% of total energy consumption and are a major source of CO2 emissions.

To successfully reduce their CO2 emissions, the manufacturing and process industries need the development and implementation of software tools that can provide practical insights into energy consumption in their daily operations and help plan production so that as much green electricity as possible is used.

Solution

The project develops an edge-computing and cloud-based software platform that enables manufacturing and process companies to automatically collect and analyze energy consumption and production data. The solution can determine the best operational practices and will minimize energy consumption and CO2 emissions while ensuring product quality and process throughput.
