CANSI is gathering some of the strongest research institutions from the US and Denmark to identify challenges for the green transition within renewable energy, transmission and system integration and identify areas of collaboration based on climate goals and state of the art knowledge.

There are a number of specific but varying requirements from companies working with permanent CO2 storage in underground reservoirs. However, it remains unclear what specific impurity standards each facility will need to meet for the collected CO2 gas. Therefore, it is essential to prepare systems for managing the quality of the product gas.

Overall, the project will play a central role in the green transition by delivering a cost-effective and scalable solution for hydrogen production while ensuring the necessary competence development within the industry.

The Deployable Green Power Solution aims to further develop a commercial HTPEM (High Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cell solution. The final system is designed to deliver performance and flexibility comparable to a traditional diesel generator but without the associated pollution.

Partners in the GAMMA innovation project are retrofitting a bulk carrier with innovative technologies aimed at reducing the vessel's carbon footprint. The demonstration will prove that it is possible to replace auxiliary generators with a new fuel system operating on e-fuels.

Greenport Scandinavia builds on the ambitions of the North Jutland business hub CO2Vision and the foundation laid when Project Greensand demonstrated the first CO2 injection on the Danish continental shelf in the North Sea in March 2023.

The main purpose of HARMONISE is to deliver a solution that can support, encourage, and upscale the transformation from traditional districts to PEDs through optimal design, management, and integration in a scalable and replicable manner. The approach must be user-centric, stemming from technological, business, and socially engaging perspectives.

With the globally increasing production and transport needs, CO2 emissions are also rising exponentially. This has measurable and significant climate-related consequences, making the reduction of global CO2 emissions a high political priority. For many companies, this means that, both now and in the future, budgeting for CO2 disposal will be necessary to meet mandatory climate goals (neutrality).

The project will contribute to the green transition by enabling faster and more cost-effective expansion of offshore wind turbines.

The OASIS (Offshore Accelerator for System Integration and Storage) project addresses the challenge of increasing innovation capacity and market readiness for SMEs in the North Sea region, specifically within the offshore energy sector. The unpredictable nature of renewable energy makes it necessary to develop smarter and more efficient energy management solutions, which are crucial for supporting affordable energy prices for end-users and showcasing the potential of various offshore renewable energy technologies.

The project is expected to deliver a solution to optimize energy use in industrial processes, quantify the benefits of integrating the process industry and district heating, and incorporate sector integration with industrial processes into heat planning and district heating design.
