About the project
Challenge
The OASIS (Offshore Accelerator for System Integration and Storage) project addresses the challenge of increasing innovation capacity and market readiness for SMEs in the North Sea region, specifically within the offshore energy sector.
The unpredictable nature of renewable energy makes it necessary to develop smarter and more efficient energy management solutions, which are crucial for supporting affordable energy prices for end-users and showcasing the potential of various offshore renewable energy technologies.
Solution
The goal of the OASIS project is to create a structured platform to help at least 30 SMEs improve in three key areas: technological development, commercial development, and sustainable design.
The project aims to achieve this by facilitating innovation collaborations, supporting technology and market development, and ensuring the sustainability of the final products. This will be done through activities such as “pressure cookers,” pitch sessions, matchmaking, and hackathons.
The OASIS project includes the creation of an innovation toolbox, enabling SMEs to implement their ideas more effectively. This toolbox will also help transfer the insights and methods developed within the project to other contexts and sectors.
Moreover, the project will engage stakeholders from the accelerator ecosystem to ensure the adaptability and transferability of the project’s outputs, maximizing the project’s impact and reach.
Energy Cluster Denmark’s Role
Energy Cluster Denmark plays a facilitating role in the collaboration between the various partners and will help ensure that the technologies and solutions developed have direct applications in the Danish offshore energy sector. Energy Cluster contributes with its expertise in building strong networks between SMEs, research institutions, and larger industry partners.
